However, right now the lace is ruling the runway in its throwback to the 70s and the 90s fashion," shares fashion guru Nachiket Barve.. Wear your hair loose to keep the overall look easy-going and fun. guipure lace with heavy duchesse satin or with a silk crepe looks elegant. Big bold patterns or intricately detailed ones paired with bright shades of red, yellows, blues and pinks are perfect to make a style statement. "Forget bridal white and think of sugary pastels and eye-popping neons. The French may have invented the notion but designers have embraced their individual freedom of expression for Fall China Spandex Fabrics by doing whatever they want with the fabric to bring out exquisite results: featherweight see-through shifts, elaborately crafted sheaths, fluid T-shirts and more."You can also texturally mash-up the fabric and bring on your combination-game."."Playful colours counter the naughtiness of the lace, creating a sexy attitude that’s anything but stodgy.

Lace-inspired sherwanis and coats are a big trend this wedding season that I’ll suggest men to try it out. The designs can be worked on a textile ground or the lace can completely be made from metallic threads.Creative director of Vertical Divani, Sanya Dhir agrees and adds, "The best part of this revival is that both designers and the high street appear to have realised that it doesn’t have to be — a) Victorian-like and b) supremely OTT and girlie. You also have to be careful here — lace can get cheap-looking quickly. It was used to decorate everything from dresses to door knobs and from lingerie, bridal wear to cocktail outfits.Lace is staging a luxe comeback, and showing up on everything from sleek dresses to frilly topsOnce reserved only for lingerie trim, the delicate lace is staging a luxe comeback, rising back up the fashion food chain and showing up on everything from sleek day dresses to frilly weekend tops. Today, the delicate material has become a more everyday indulgence and it’s now a regular part of women’s wardrobes. For resort, it’s turning up in sophisticated, racy styles from semi-sheer or peekaboo tops to abbreviated skirts and dresses."Well, now we know that it suits all women but can men ever embrace the feminine fabric "Yes," exclaims designer Paresh Lamba.

For maximum impact, team a bright colour with a neutral and finish the look with a clashing manicure and fluoro accessories," reveals fashion designer Nandita Thirani and adds, "While laces always look great in black and white, this season it’s trending in all kinds of hues and patterns. Having prevailed through the ages, from refined Victorian looks to racier versions, historically, the fabric was a sign of wealth and elegance and the must-have fashion among Renaissance patricians. Choose high-quality material and pair vibrant hues with shoes from the same colour family or metallic."The fabric has had many makeovers since its genesis.. Nachiket suggests, "Lace looks best in an elegant grown up format." About another variation, designer Swatee Singh adds, "If you want something that’s a little more contemporary, then, try metallic lace, a type of lace that’s made from metal or metallic threads such as gold, silver, or copper. "Designers have been constantly innovating and experimenting with the fabric, its texture and colour. The 90s can be revived with combining it with leather, denim or even gingham and tartan by paying homage to all that’s grunge. Think Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, not the Queen Mother.

An A-line cut skirt is strict no as you do not want to add more drama to the look.Last year the rage among fashion designers, stylists and fashionistas were exaggerated sleeves. The trend is dramatic and elaborate in itself, so its best to keep the rest of the look as minimal as possible. "Although minimal is the way to go, I have seen people styling the trend with heavy and dramatic jewellery which I think works well too," adds Riya. Floor length sleeves are a a busy trend to carry off. Designer Ashwini Raju says, "It is always a good thing to keep the neck bare with this trend. "These sleeves have mostly been found on lehengas, sari and gowns. "Although it is a good trend to try, I dont think that it will stick around for a long time. These sleeves have been predicted to be quite big this with stars likes Prachi Desai, Sonam Kapoor sporting this trend.

People were donning sleeves in all shapes and sizes. "Materials like chiffon, single jersey or knitted fabric or any kind of stretchable fabric will suit the floor length sleeves," Prerana signs off." Prerana also suggests trying out a one shoulder, floor-touching sleeve gown to make a bold and stylish statement.. These sleeves have a dramatic flare to them and tend to make a bold statement when ever worn. The China Polyester Spandex Fabrics jewellery that you wear should be such that it doesn’t get lost in the floor touching sleeves. The trend became an instant hit with designers who were trying to incorporate them into their designs in fun and unique ways. Heavy chunky earrings with a crystal belt and clutch will be perfect." She further adds, "I think that organza in any summery colour will be the best choice. Riya goes on to say, "You can try a bare neck top with floor-touching sleeves and pair it with a straight cut or parallel cut skirt and chandelier earrings.

The best part is that the sleeves can be made both in a plain fabric as well as a sheer embellished fabric," opiniates designer Prerana Sarkar." Other than organza there are other fabrics which one can try out. It is one of those contemporary trends that will hang around only for sometime," says designer Riya Kodali. Bell to cape to butterfly, these have now been taken over by the floor-touching or knee length sleeves. But this designer is of the opinion that this trend is just a come-and-go trend.

How can countries facing escalating Chinese economic blackmail manage the problem The key lies in diversifying one’s trade and investment relations and avoiding placing all one’s eggs in the Chinese basket. In July this year, the jingoistic Global Times fulminated at India’s deployment of battle tanks near the disputed Himalayan border with China and threatened to withdraw its foreign direct investment (FDI) flows. China’s brandishing of the economic stick is not confined to its peevishness about the South China Sea.  Today, we are witnessing a more confident and brash China that aims to maximise political gains from its economic clout on a much broader global scale. Pointing out that Indian exports to China have fallen by 16.Ever since an international tribunal in The Hague delivered an adverse verdict on China’s preposterous territorial claims in the South China Sea, Beijing has China Spandex Fabrics Wholesale responded by firing on all cylinders."Notwithstanding India’s improved international image under Mr Modi as a top destination for inward FDI, China’s FDI in India has been purposely kept below par.Even India, which has been diplomatically proactive under Prime Minister Narendra Modi by bolstering cooperation with the Philippines, Vietnam and Japan, and issuing joint statements with the US to restrain China’s aggrandisement in the South China Sea, has not been spared.

When the new British administration of Prime Minister Theresa May put a hold on approving the partly Beijing-funded $24 billion Hinkley Point nuclear power project for national security reasons, Beijing expressed dark forebodings about the future of investing in Britain."With the US too, China has sought to offset military containment through economic factors. The vast trading and investment-related assets and relationships China has accumulated over two decades are of such proportion that they are bargaining tools for linkage and advantage in non-economic issues. As a superpower, China is getting bolder and more global in pushing financial buttons to pressurise nations. Nations must also strive for equitable flow of trade and investment with China so that there is healthy interdependence rather than lopsided dependence.Call it blackmail or smart diplomacy, China realises how indispensable it is to the prosperity of all its neighbours and is extracting strategic concessions from them on its cherished political objectives.Global Times has ticked off India for poking its nose in the South China Sea and admonished New Delhi not to "risk unnecessary side effects to Sino-Indian ties and potentially set obstacles for Indian exporters hoping to increase their presence in China, now the world’s second largest importer". But only a long-term strategy of balanced trade and FDI with China can ward off the dragon’s politicised exactions. Economists often say having a trade deficit with another country is not necessarily a bad situation. Connecting geostrategic and economic costs and benefits, it cautioned that military moves by New Delhi "may hit a nerve within the Chinese business community, causing investors to weigh the threat of political instability when they make investment decisions. With the Australian economy facing sluggish GDP growth and already dulled by China’s economic slowdown, any economic punishment meted out to it by Beijing can be disastrous for Mr Turnbull. When China knows a country has other pillars of economic support, it will be left with fewer cards to scare and intimidate.Australia — economically one of the most dependent countries on the Chinese market and Chinese investors — has been at the receiving end of dire warnings from Beijing not to side with the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan and the US.

The writer is a professor and dean at the Jindal School of International Affairs. While a belligerent and militaristic counter-reaction by China was expected, a different tactic has also come to the fore.According to the Australian news media, China has delivered a harsher message in private to the government of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull that if Canberra joins the US’ so-called "freedom of navigation" military exercises within 12 nautical miles of reefs and atolls occupied by China, then Beijing would impose practical "economic costs". The Chinese Communist Party’s official mouthpiece, Global Times, has derided Australia as a "paper tiger" with an "inglorious history" and a foreign ministry spokesman in Beijing condescendingly chided Canberra to "talk carefully and behave cautiously". In an earlier era, China practised economic threats and inducements to enforce international acceptance of its "One China policy" vis-à-vis Taiwan, isolate the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, and divide and rule over member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean). Always alert to exploiting vulnerabilities of partners, the Chinese state-owned media reminded Ms May of her folly of antagonising Beijing over the nuclear plant "at a time when the UK needs to build strong trade ties following its vote to leave the EU.7 per cent this year owing to "simmering tensions" and a "series of political incidents", Global Times is preaching that Mr Modi’s ambitious "Make in India" manufacturing plan will only succeed if he "avoids unnecessary entanglement with China over the South China Sea debate". Pakistan, which is a lot riskier due to terrorism and insecurity, has been promised more than double the FDI that China has committed to relatively stable and fast-growing India to drive home the point that one must conform to China’s geopolitical ambitions of dominating Asia in order to receive Chinese largesse. Beijing is applying greater coercive economic leverage to beat back the chorus of nations gathering against it. The Pentagon might wish to be unshackled to encircle China through military means, but the state department and the White House under Barack Obama often balk from provocation and confrontation out of concern for the overall bilateral relationship, which includes the fate of American investments in China and the value of the American dollar that rests on trillions of Chinese currency reserves held in the US’ Treasury bonds. The American scholar William Norris argues that a country’s success in economic statecraft is determined by how effectively it controls its corporates and financial institutions to toe its line overseas. Rarely in history has there been a superior exponent of state-guided capitalism like China, where the Communist Party-run government ensures such command over its multinational companies and sovereign wealth funds that they are equivalent to armies positioned abroad or foreign military bases. On his recent visit to India, the Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi commented obliquely that "it is up to India what position it has to take" on the South China Sea row, without explicitly mentioning the repercussions of not toeing China’s line. These weapons will not disappear soon, despite the ongoing slowdown and transition in the Chinese economy.
